An EXISTING ACTIVE Oklahoma license, with time remaining until the expiration date, may be changed from Resident ( R ) to Non-Resident (NR) or vice versa. You may have only (1) Oklahoma license. The license will be designated as a Resident if you live in Oklahoma or Non-Resident is you reside outside of Oklahoma.
If you do not have an EXISTING ACTIVE Oklahoma license, return to our web page and follow the instruction to submit a NEW application.
Resident to Non-Resident: Click on the appropriate link below to open the paper application. Complete the form and write CHANGE FROM RESIDENT TO NON-RESIDENT on the top of the first page of the application. Submit the completed form to the above information.
Non-Resident to Resident: The OID will reciprocate with other resident states as long as the license status is changed within 90 days of a legal residence move.

Note for Adjusters: Oklahoma will reciprocate with most prior resident states (except NY, CA and HI) as long as the adjuster passed the adjuster exam in their resident state prior to transferring to Oklahoma.
